Yep… that was a very long title, which pretty much sums up my Memorial Day. I’m going out to spend time with my grandparents (both sets), brothers, parents, and sister. My grandpa on my mama’s side (Poppy) is making his world famous spaghetti and meatballs, and we get to lay out on the dock. Pretty much all in all, it’s going to be a good day.
And of course, all the days on the lake and the days off of school are nice, but take time to remember those who served and are serving. Thank a serviceman/woman for what they do for us. Because what they do is an amazing sacrifice.

So here it is, my first blog post. Actually, that’s sort of a fib. I’ve had a blog before, but this time I’m committing. I’m sitting here watching Titanic for the first time (just a day of firsts!) and hanging with my fabulous sister!
But a little about me… I love my church and youth group, my family, and my friends. I like school (yes, I’m a teen who likes school), but hate homework. I’m a ballerina, swimmer, and musician (I play the flute, oboe, and piano). I compete for my school’s speech team in extemperaneous speaking (which means I come up with an answer to a political question in half an hour and perform it… oh, and I have to cite sources! It’s so much fun :)). I am a lifeguard and volunteer at our local library. Pretty much I love life and enjoy meeting new people (for the most part).
It’s off to finish this movie! Adios, adieu, good bye!
